• Monday to Friday – 08:00 – 12:00 & 14:00 – 17:30

For URGENT appointments please contact the surgery from 8.00am. Please note you may not be able to see a GP of your choice. You may be offered a telephone consultation with the GP or Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

Booking an Appointment

If booking by phone our trained Medical Receptionists will often ask you about the purpose of your appointment. If you provide basic information, they can make sure you are seen by the appropriate clinician.
Please note, our lines are very busy in the mornings. You calls are in a queue and will get answered, but you may have a wait at the busiest times.

Appointment Text Confirmation and Reminders

Patients receive a text message confirmation of their booked appointment.

Patients are encouraged to check with the practice that we hold your up to date mobile number on your record, so that you can benefit from this service. Parents can give consent for their mobile number to be added to the record of children aged under 16, so that you also receive a text when booking appointments for the kids. Don’t forget. If you are unable to make an appointment it is very important that you contact us to cancel it, so the appointment can be made available to another patient.

Evening & Weekend Appointments

Through our collaboration with the Bridgedale Primary Care Network under the NHS Enhanced Access Scheme we are able to offer our patients some appointments 6.30-8.00pm Monday to Friday and 9am-5pm on Saturdays. The following is usual pattern, although it is subject to change.

Most of the Enhanced Access clinics provided by Lostock Hall Medical Centre are currently for the provision of long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) for female patients. This service is available for all women registered at any of the five practices. Ask your practice for further details.
