Family Planning Clinic – Run by Doctor and Nurse by appointment.  This includes fitting and removing of coils (IUCDs, IUDs) and contraceptive implants, contraceptive injection, oral contraception and general contraceptive advice. Our Lead GP has additional qualifications in gynaecology. Just contact the practice.
Patients registered with one of our Bridgedale partner practices (New Longton, Riverside, Roslea and Ryan health centres) can be referred into our service.

Menopause Advice - Run by our Lead GP who specialises in women's health and is a British Menopause Society accredited expert.

Childrens' Vaccinations – Clinic is run by Nurse with the Doctor, by appointment.

Well Baby – Run by Doctor and Nurse. Routine childhood vaccinations may also be carried out at this appointment.

Phlebotomist – Blood tests are carried out, by appointment, every Tuesday morning  8.30am – 11.30am.

Diabetic Podiatrist – Podiatry for our Diabetic patients is carried out, by appointment, on the first Monday of every month.

Midwife – By appointment

Health Promotion Clinics

Asthma, Diabetic, Heart Disease, Hypertension, Hypothyroid, Epilepsy and Well Person – All these clinics are run by our nursing team and are by appointment.

Cervical Smears – All females between the ages of 25-65 are invited to have a cervical smear as part of the national screening programme.  These are performed by a Nurse by appointment.

Minor Surgery and Joint Pain Treatment – Minor Surgery is carried out weekly, after an initial consultation with the Doctor - removal of lesions and minor cysts, joint injections

Health Checks – All newly registered patients on medication are encouraged to have a health check. NHS Health Checks available for patients aged 40-75

Medication Reviews & Advice - led by a Clinical Pharmacist

Musculo-Skeletal Pain and Stiffness - appointment with First Contact Practitioner / Physio - can refer for investigations and scans

Social Prescriber - to advise on social issues, loneliness, local groups, benefits etc

The practice also hosts externally specialist managed clinics for Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) complaints, Community Frailty Support and Abdominal, Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) screening
